When scanning negatives the images come out too dark and if you change the brightness they are too bright. Very small screen.
This is perfect to do a large # of scans and not be confined to my office where the big scanner is. Looked easy to use and had some basic alteration controls. Pros:• easy to use.
Kodak slide and scan works very well, producing user sized 14mp or 22mp files. I have an epson perfection v500 photo to scan my negatives & it does a fantastic job. The very good ones go thru the epsom v600 flat bed at higher resolution.
Hit the button to digitize it. Comes with an instruction book that’s nicely laid out.
The unit has some shortcomings that i just can't live with. Mine's already packed up to go back. Thank god for amazon amazing return policy.
Even standard 35mm format slides are significantly cropped around all edges. Limited color correction (rgb) range. Sharpness is better using an iphone than this gadget.
Ektachrome 100 portriat slides taken with a dual flash set-up is very disappointing. The jpegs are mostly way over saturated in color and skew toward green.
The converter is not compatible with cards larger than 32 mb. The instruction manual does not mention what power converter to use. It is not a stand-alone converter.
