Bamboo gives a great heaviness and cooling effect to the blanket. The knit is a little tighter than my cotton thermal blankets. Warm without being bulky.
The blanket is much softer than pure cotton. Since it is all natural fibers, it breathes better than any synthetic blanket does. It washes up well, dried it on low in the dryer, it's lightweight and comfortable.
The color (minty green) is absolutely gorgeous. The tiffany blue color is a greenish aquamarine that really pops. It is well-made and i like the beach teal color — it is so cheerful.
But it washes well and the odor was gone on first wash.
The blanket weave is tight enough not to constantly pull and loop, which is a personal pet peeve. The design is minimalist but still has visual interest with its discreet geometrical pattern.
I have a total of 5 of these blankets for my home, all in different colors, all of which are exactly as vibrant as pictured. You wont be dissappointed. I recommend & hope my review has been helpful in your decision to purchase or not.
I tumble dry them (no heat) with no issues. Wash in enclosed mesh bag and hang (inside) to dry.
Bamboo is a very breathable fabric. It's lightweight, soft, and cooling. Nothing but amazement at the weight and heft of it.
I'm a hot sleeper on my own, but i also have an 80lb rottweiler that has to draped over me all night. This blanket absolutely dissipates the heat by keeping a thin layer between me and the dog, and makes the sleep environment extremely tolerable.
In the colder months, they keep you insulated. Bamboo stays about 3 degrees cooler than cotton on average.
This blanket isn't soft and it's pilling all over. It's not soft and now it's scratchy on my skin. The packaging says dry with regular heat.
Queen size usually means it hangs over the mattress at least a foot.
