It's a hinge. It's stainless steel. I like that they came with the tiny screws, i used rivets for my application though. They have the smaller pin whichmakes them less bulky.
This last time i purchased it, the product is now different. Very very light duty, not strong at all.
The lubricate noise is a showstopper for me. These are beefier than the ones the house was built with. They look nice and clean, and they don't flex in any way.
Many including myself buy schlage for their reputation as a quality leader. My hubby is a contractor and is very pleased. Would buy again. Just as advertised.
Horrible hinge. Box was never sealed. Lubricant they used is basically glue.
