It can be used to inflate or deflate your board. Used this to pump up 2 inflatable kayaks. Good to have a gauge to use, don't have to worry about over inflating.

Filled up my 15psi paddle board in about a minute. Turn it on, set it to 15 psi and start getting ready for paddling.
Used with a c02 tank to fill up an air mattress, worked great. However, they all look sturdy.
