The heater works decently. A root from one of my plants floated over to that area, dried up and started sizzling. Every single time the temp drops a degree the alarm turns on and stays on until it gets back to my set temp.

Heats up the water quickly and has a thermometer to monitor the temperature. I have an aerator, hygger full spectrum light, and heater all plugged in. It is barely noticeable, beside sponge filter and behind a plant.

Yes, it heats up the tank but maybe a little too well as it fried my betta. Won't hold a steady or near steady temp.
