It easily * to most desk tops, construction lumber, some tubing and shelving. I wish that the back of it was a bit more flexible, so you can have it at 50 or 55 deg.

The disk and the prongs have very low friction. On my laminate desk they move, even under considerable cranking on the clamping screw.

The following items which were plugged into it were external computer monitor and 2 adapters connected to my macbook pro. Cheap plastic, better out there.
