The glove has an outer lining that makes it less clumsy to use. This makes it so that they are much less clumsy than snow gloves or larger, bulky ones. The grip is in all the right spots to keep your paddle from slipping.
On cold, windy days the removable shell is a blessing. The trailhead logo on the back of the mitten and silver band reflect light well for night runs.

The gloves are rated 25 degrees for the mitten glove, and 30 degree for the lightweight glove. They are the perfect weight for biking, hiking and running.
Neither the gloves nor the gloves covered with the mitten covers are very warm. Under 30 degrees f they stop being super useful. Otherwise for my outdoor runs my hands still get pretty numb.
