The light has a timer and dimmer. It's simplicity to use the timer and brightness functions. You can also adjust the strength of the light.

My biggest issue with it is the defect. It has some kind of short inside the switch. The wiring is very thin. There is no way to detach from the circle so there is a clean look.

This is perfect for the novice or quiet professional for the personal use of your plants. Why anyone would complain about something that works this good and only cost $13 is beyond me. It also has a one year warranty.
