It's not a necessity but it is a good quality item for what its worth. The seller’s description is accurate. Most importantly the quality is good and the capacity is great.

Quality materials are used including the fasteners and handles. Others complain about it not being level but mine is just fine. Colors work well with my kitchen decor. Sturdy, durable and easy to assemble.

It holds a lot of fruit and avocados, onions. I am pretty certain that it will outlast me.

The basket is not tall enough to hold a banana. Even if you put the hanger up on the handle itself it is not high enough for the bananas to be off the counter. I wouldn't put anything in the basket that weighs more than bread.
