The silicone fits very snuggly on the chair legs and aren't going to budge. The chair slide easily without making any noise, and our floors are protected. It seems that it was with a couple of caveats.

These are great when you are pushing an empty chair in or, in our case, our 3 yr pushing the chair over to the cabinet to root around for candy. They seem durable and well constructed. They work well to protect our flooring.

Installation is a snap - took less than 20 minutes to install. They provide great friction on the floor so the sofa doesn't move. I have a bench in front of my bed to help my dogs get up on the bed. Durable and as advertised.
