Rules lite but lacking the meat to be able to run more than a one-shot. Not the system to use for a full campaign of weird or dark fantasy.
Not only is this game super easy to learn, it's fun and great for the whole family. It’s where you place your tile that brings in all the strategy that experienced gamers will enjoy. The map building is a cool concept.
Carcassonne is a different style of game, but i think of it as catan-lite. I foresee it will stay as a favorite for a while. Game is addicting, it's already my favorite game and we've only played it five times.
It’s easier to play with 2 people, or if we have a friend over and want to play a faster paced game. Especially with fewer people, the play time is very reasonable.
It's personally challenging and surprising, while still being a bit adversarial. Great game of strategy that can be learnt quickly. I often shy away from board games after a long work day because tedious strategy can be laborious.
The shrink-wrapped game is in rough shape. The fact that the board is made of roads and cities is irrelevant. The rules are not clear at all how meeples can be played on tiles when you can’t play one on the tile.
The game is incredibly simplistic and boring. It's closer to a puzzle than a game. I probably sound like a grouch who doesn't like games.
