Guage is very handy and well worth the extra cost. Safe, dependable and a good gauge on it. The gauge meter is very useful!
Buying your own tank and taking it to the local hardware store and getting it filled is nearly half the price of the tank exchange programs. Not by much right now, but looks a * of a lot better than those *, beat up exchanged tanks.
Tank got damaged & bent on base stand ring. Tank came very dirty, the valve is rusty and the bottom of the tank is rusty.
My plumber always does a soap bubble test on every gas fitting he makes. The glycerin makes the bubbles stronger so it's easier to detect leaks. Screw the hose onto the gauge. The backup tank is ready to go.
Item on left is the one ordered, but defective. Gauge has a hard plastic washer on the female thread side that cracked and failed. It leaks like crazy and is inaccurate.
