Playing it drunk is awesome too. Works out great and great challenges. We (my husband and i) now play best of three to determine who runs the next errand or does a chore!

Only disappointment is the paint smeared quickly. But still very usable. Well made great value for money.
The game is fun but the execution is poor. Very cheaply made in china. Very expensive for a very poorly made product.
Since the wood is so thin, it's like it's delaminating and will just peel apart at the crack of played on. Flimsy cheap wood. Pucks are rough which causes paint to wear quickly. I was not entertained.
Scythe mixes engine builder meets area control meets worker placement. The artwork is filled with dieselpunk motifs and looks amazing. The board itself has great artwork, the figures are really nice.
This game is basically deep vein thrombosis waiting to happen. This is an asymmetrical game, meaning every player has a variance on how the rules apply to them.
The single-player mode is super interesting and challenging. The solo mode is also great for the times you don't have anyone to play with. There is an expansion to make it a 7 person game.
It is complex, but boy-oh-boy is it rewarding! It takes one playthrough to just learn the game, or the instruction booklet has a link to a video. It is not overly complex.
This is one of our top favorites next to wingspan and root. I'm a huge fan of the eastern european steampunk theme, which makes this a beautiful game to stare at while i plan out my moves.

There are several turn phases that are easily forgettable that the digital version reminds you of. However, the intention of getting the game was to play with high-school students.
