It was fed into the washer in a coil around the agitator and washed on the warm/delicate or light wash cycle. The only downfall is it's not fluffy when first opening it and took a little bit of use for the fluff to come out.
Even if you let it air out it still smells pretty excessively. The colour is a dull off white, which does not match my actual, white pillows. It's ridiculous to say it's soft and fluffy.
This is an outstanding qu as lity comforter. Seems incredibly well made and a steal compared to most other cotton/wool comforters.
Wool filling is fluffy and the box stitching prevents it all from clumping. I use a cotton duvet cover and a linen-cotton quilt, and it breathes. Only thing that kind of bothers me a little is the paper noise is making when you move the duvet.
It is lightweight, warm and yet perfect for the hot summer months. A little thinner than a lot of the comforters out there but the weight of it is so satisfying. It's more of a medium weight, for temperate climates or people who like a cool bedroom.
Keeps us warm where it is -15 temperature outside and 75 inside without a need to crank up heat. Hubby sleeps hot no matter what but on colder night he’s been pulling this on him and not complaint of being too hot which is unheard of!
