I have two covered light fixtures in my hallway that use these type of bulbs. As you dim a fixture, the light usually changes to a warmer (more yellow) shade. They were encased in foam to eliminate touching another bulb or moving during shipment.
The description for this led bulb says they are equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent bulb. The flickers when dimmed and doesn't last.
For me personally, they are terrible. I conclude that these are junk. That's completely unacceptable.
Manufacturer claims 24 months support but there is no link to contact the seller. was contacted by provider and issued a refund. May have received a bad batch.
Used with the proper dimmer we take it down low and it replicates the look of candle light inside the frosted inner glass. They also have a 60w brighter color/bluer bulb called refresh led that i use in the laundry room, garage etc.
These bulbs produce a very functional amount of light with a pleasing color. They produce way less heat that my old cfl or heincandescent.
Since it's over 30 days, these are not returnable. This warning is not clearly stated on the packaging. That metric seems flawed, because these produce a horribe yellow-green light.
There is a noticable annoying delay from flipping the switch to the time the light comes on.
