The pot weighs more than the larger size pots i have. The sturdiness is good. Bought my first set of cuisinart pans about 10-years ago. I don't think i will in a long time lol.
Make sure to cool the pan first than soak it in water for little. The bottom of the pan has a little discoloration on the inside, this is normal and does not affect the use of it. This pan heats up fast.
Only downside is the lid handle is metal and gets hot to the touch. It fit well in my very old farberware kettle. I like that the lid is solid, which means that overtime there is no single handle that will loosen up.
The steamer insert is too small. The rivets connecting the handle are aluminum and corrode in the presence of acidic food. This is not a spot of corrosion, this is a defect.
They are solidly built, attractive pans and lids. The pots make up for the low heat and uneven cooking of my stove. Overall it cooks great, cleans easy and i have no complaints at all.
It is a perfect size and weight in addition it's well-balanced maybe even ergonomic. Clean up was a breeze with dish soap and a sponge. Feels very well constructed but not too heavy. Sturdy, easy to use and clean.
Many reviewers are concerned about where these pans are made. Confirming (with photos) that this item is indeed made in brazil. That set was made in china; this pan is stamped made in brazil.
This works just as well as my all-clad sauce pan. It's heavier than past pans, but it's very good looking. This sauce pan feels like it could last past the apocalypse.
Horribly discolored after one use. Bottom inside of pot looks like the coating is wearing off. Will be returning.
