Mancala is an easy game for almost anyone to learn. It reinforces concepts of counting, math, strategy, and tactics. It's still playable but it's a little frustrating because they could so easily have made the pits a little deeper.
My only annoyance is that some of the pretty “gemstones” are too large for the slots. I also wish the stones came in a sturdier permanent holder too.

The game play is balanced for solo and multi players. My boyfriend and i play this alllll the time.
The artwork is the big draw for this title - the oversized, tarot style park cards are absolutely gorgeous.
Some of the standout features include the beautiful artwork and wooden game counters. It is competitive enough without feeling cutthroat. The components are top of the line and will bring years of enjoyment.
The directions are horrible and confusing. Read 5 more pages of convoluted instructions. There's even an included quick start guide which just mocked us as it gave no help whatsoever. Instruction booklet is horrible and 11 pages long!
