It's fun and great to add to a collection of retro games. One of my favorites. Nice xmas gift. Great for gifting too.
The pieces are dovetailed nicely. If one wasn't careful they could definitely get a splinter playing with this set. The game is very soothing and relaxing.
The game board is made well, though there are a few rough spots within a number of the divots on the game board. The engraved details on the top and sides of the board are beautiful. Overall, a decent mancala board game with a few minor gripes.
Stones scatter everywhere. Individual spots are just too small and they start to overflow easily. It is very hard to even get the fingers in a slot to lift the stones out.
As someone who has taught 3d printing to kids, and robotics coaching, to call this a stem toy is just not polite.
Game uses many preschool skills to play. Perfect gift for my 4 year old granddaughter. Got this game for my 3 year old nephew for christmas.
The squirrel shaped grabber is a great conceit. The acorns are a rubber like material but not squishy. Plus that little squirrel gripper helps with fine motor.

It's made of cheap cardboard material, all besides the acorns and the pincer- squirrel is plastic. One acorn broke. Stumps are plastic. They’re shown and described as cardboard.
