The tight weave is a plus since my dogs are "diggers" and would otherwise cause snags. I love the chevron pattern, it's incredibly soft, and it keeps me warm. Tight weave and won't be easy to snag.

The blanket is slightly heavier because of the amount of close weaving of the cotton into a kind of herringbone pattern. I'm not sure if it would be called lightweight but that was not important to me. Just a little heavier feeling than a sheet.

Bought this as a replacement blanket for king size bed. It fits perfectly on the bed, it’s a beautiful blanket and beautiful color blue. Planning on purchasing 2 more for the guest rooms.

Some blankets are really soft, some are a little firmer. This blanket is very soft, lightweight andwarm.

The scotish grey picture looks like a lighter color with a hint of teal/blue and different than the dark grey i received and was looking for. Somebody needs to get the tape measure out and rethink the dimensions of this blanket.
