Works great once programmed. Set your new 4 to 6 numeric code first. Once you use one of the 3 opening methods the lid opens automatically. Comes with a hard key pair so that you can access the safe even when the batteries die.

This gun safe is affordable and very well built. Have had for it for about half a week and have zero problems! The fingerprint works amazingly!
