The shovels are very sturdy and the shape makes it very easy for little hands (2 1/2 years old) to scoop sand. My grandson loves them. These are our favorite!

Bucket filled with easter candy and basket stuffers one day and sand and shells the next. Worked out better than baskets! My five year old grandson loves his bucket.

One of the three buckets was shipped with a crack. Overpriced and small- got the rounded, not square, ones. Also kind of warped. The accordion design makes it extremely flimsy.
