Just unscrew the end caps from the original sentry shock and swap out with this one. The only thing you need to do is swap out the oem strut ends and install the new strut.

It's not really usable. The brackets are made of thin metal and bend easily. Screws provided are very small and size of hole in bracket do not allow for larger diameter screws.

The screw heads go right through the holes thus eliminating the ability to hold the hinge up. Maybe ok for * into metal, but useless for a wooden fence.
