They're very warm, and a moderate amount of dexterity is there. I play with my kids building snowmen and sledding and i have yet to be wet and cold. Used them snowmobiling in 45 degree weather.
Kept my hands so warm while snowboarding. The only thing that i wished was different is if the liner was removable.
The touchpad finger works, and the ties on them keep the gloves resting on your wrists when you want to take them off without having to hold them. The fingers are long especially for women but because gloves are pretty unisex they work great for him.
They look cool but zero function. These gloves have design flaws. Would rather invest in a better pair.

They wear the xs and s respectively. Works well for first time snowboarder. Still want to learn to land with fist closed & on sides. Wore them twice while snowboarding.
Only downside is that there is only a bottom splint and no top splint if that is important to you. Great for wrist protection at an affordable price.
They fit well under the glove and provide solid wrist protection. Seems sturdy and made with hard plastic. Not bulky, and will fit under your gloves without picking gloves size up, as most of other wrist protection gear.
I wear a men's small dakine mitten with liner. My hand size is right on the cusp of large and x-large.
Extremely tight around the wrist. Also mobility was extremely hindered.
