Ken follet is a gifted writerand does not disappoint! Another follett page turner. Follett is a master story teller.
The storyline is amazing. Excellent plot interweave. Family conflicts, intrigue, greed & * abound.

Incredibly unrewarding. The sample rarely informs you of this impending trash!
The writing is sub par and the characters are all such a bunch of cardboard cutouts. The worst of ken follett's work.
The twists are too coincidental. Weakened by predictable characters and excessive, unnecessary and tiresome * scenes. I agree with many reviewers that this was a very formulaic novel.
