The board is not flimsy despite it being card board. It's strong enough for pieces to adhere, but they can still be moved easily. It folds up well into the tin and the pieces are magnetic.
The magnetic checker pieces and board are great. Looks & works just as expected. The magnets are especially fun for the kids.
This is because it was so cheaply made, not because it had been used or damaged in shipping. It is total garbage and i can't get a refund for it either!

Once the whole apparatus is together, it feels pretty sturdy. Worth the cost, in my opinion.
The game incorporates kinetic sand. It has a similar play to the classic kerplunk game, but is actually a bit more interesting because of the unknown factor of not being able to see what is going on underneath the kinetic sand.
Players take turns pulling out colored sticks kerplunk style until pieces start dropping through the sand. The roll of the dice gives it some randomness, but there is also a bit of strategy in choosing which stick to pull.
