The images are impressively sharp in standard mode. These are the only night vision binoculars i've ever had. Was able to see the big dipper from our balcony clearly and with ease.

The screen is super sharp and clear. What looks black nothing to the * eye is crisp, clear picture through screen. Given that on a small screen the images are nice and sharp, i expect to be impressed.

This is a really fun gadget to experiment with. Since we have pets and a 2 year old it is a concern and want to be able to have eyes on that hillside at night if we need. Digital zoom up to 3x.
