It is plastic which is great for my son as he is sensitive to the way things feel. In our house that qualifies as durable. It's lighter than the ones with the metal pins.

Hated it. Too lightweight. And then falling out and bending.
I think the only downside was the cost as you can only play once as there are not multiple endings. I plan on lending it to others to enjoy with their families or friends too. Totally worth the $20 or whatever.
The process also contains 2 crypto puzzles. Easy enough to follow and solve for a beginner. We were really impressed by the detail and quality involved in the clues. It really gets you talking and thinking to solve it.
The box comes with a bunch of papers (incl. An instruction manual) probably longer than an experienced player would but loved it!
The subscription pricing model is great for the company but totally screws the consumer. I get if the lock bags were faulty but then the website too? Feels like a rip off. The solution envelop, while sealed, was also empty.
