Auto uses the built in pir (passive infra red) sensor to activate the light if it detects movement.

The bracket is well designed and the light is easy to snap into it. And mounting hardware is good. Comes with screws and anchors that are used to install the base plate. But it's not very heavy, so i ended up only using 2 with anchors.

Only drawback is that it requires 6 aa batteries. Works great, takes 6 aaa batteries. The only downfall is, it takes 6aa batteries in each light.

It is a two-car garage and it is very dull lighting. It is considerably dimmer. Advertised as a 2 pack. The motion detector is terrible.

Our other closets also have louvered doors, but we decided to go ahead and use these because there is not very much activity going on in front of the closets. It performs just as easily triggered from 15 feet and goes out quickly once movement stops. ...  Read More

The brightness is excellent. It provides excellent illumination in our 6’ x 12’ closet. This cost efficient light is perfect in a large pantry.

The light is only on for about 20-30 seconds before it clicks off. If used in a switched circuit, light turns off in a few seconds. Not suitable for stairways if switched.
