Auto uses the built in pir (passive infra red) sensor to activate the light if it detects movement.
The bracket is well designed and the light is easy to snap into it. And mounting hardware is good. Comes with screws and anchors that are used to install the base plate. But it's not very heavy, so i ended up only using 2 with anchors.
Only drawback is that it requires 6 aa batteries. Works great, takes 6 aaa batteries. The only downfall is, it takes 6aa batteries in each light.
It is a two-car garage and it is very dull lighting. It is considerably dimmer. Advertised as a 2 pack. The motion detector is terrible.
The best part is that my ceiling is exposed rafters and they fit perfectly within the 2x8s beams that the fixture does not protrude beyond the beam. I love how they all link together for a seamless and easy install. Requires a careful installation.
No more shadows. Both on timers.
I replaced my old year 2000 florescent tube garage light - these are much brighter! Even though they are super bright, there is no flicker or noise like you get with fluorescent bulbs. They seem brighter than the fluorescent tubes they replaced.
Contacted the seller this morning on the 3rd light burning out. Expect to replace within the warranty period. Customer service is lousy and don't honor warranty.
