The platinum pieces are the best part of this set. They have a map of waterdeep engraved on the back, which i liked. It's a minor nitpick, but it does mean i'll probably never use them while playing d&d.
The only downside is that it lacks strategy but you may alter some of the rules to make it more challenging and teach kids strategizing and planning skills. My grandson is 5 and caught on after the first game. My 6 year old enjoys it.
There are so many great family games that don't cause people to flip the table that this game should stop being made. There are only twelve markers for sixteen properties, making monopoly impossible. The math is so minimal that it's insulting.
