reviews given We have just returned from a family 2 week holiday nnArrival at hotel a friendly welcome greeted us and our luggage was taken and labelled immediately Check out however took a long time about an hour We were hot and very tired the booking was there but they had mixed our rooms up and the guests staying in each room was incorrect We handed over our passports in who was in each room but this didn’t seem to help Despite requesting rooms adjoining or close together at time of booking and by email prior to arrival this could not be accommodated and we were in separate blocks however not too far apart Not sure if this was error by TUI or the hotel After check in we were taken by their transport to our rooms with our luggage so all good nnRooms These are dated but comfortable The air con was lovely to return to each day and kept us cool at night Maids came in daily and made the beds and cleaned the bathroom Shower and Jacuzzi bath were very nice after a day in the sun However our other room in another block had a different experience their maid would often leave the sliding door unlocked and rarely stocked their minibar Beds were changed a couple of times per week and we were given fresh clean towels daily nnFood the Buffet is clean but repetitive they seemed to cook the same dishes but just moved them about so it seemed like it was being changed There is also a different buffet bar for younger guests which is a great idea The waiters are busy and couldn’t replenish drinks quickly enough and dirty plates weren’t removed particularly quickly In the morning we had to wait to be served tea and coffee However the staff are friendly and apologetic This was probably due to how busy the complex was Despite this we never had to queue to get a table and were directed to a table promptly The welcome lady could sometimes be sullen and intimidating with her antibacterial soap she often turned guests away if they were wet from the pool nnThe restaurants are fab and the food served is good We had to book restaurants at the beginning of our trip for the duration and often were given times earlier than we would have liked 630ish but these are worth a visit My husband hadnt packed long trousers so we were unable to use the restaurants Each restaurant tried to sell you wine on arrival and gave you a wine list the prices of wine again were expensive We said no and stuck to the house wine Again this wasn’t free flowing and we had to ask for refills on average we had 1 bottle of wine per evening between us all My biggest complaint about the restaurants was how hot they were I cannot believe they weren’t air conditioned and they were uncomfortably hot to the point you couldn’t stay for long nnPool there are not enough umbrellas for the number of sunbeds this meant people would reserve beds for their shade If there were more umbrellas then this wouldn’t happen We would reserve a bed as we went for breakfast however all the cabanas would already have gone The pool is nice but by the afternoon it is like sitting in a bath tub and hardly refreshing The animation team are great they work hard but leave you alone if you don’t want to join in The kids loved the pool games nnBeach the beach is lovely with lots of umbrellas and there was no need to reserve beds The whole of the Caribbean has a problem with seaweed and this hotel works extremely hard to clear it At the beginning of our stay there would be tractors taking the seaweed away but they installed nets into a Bay Area which worked really well collecting the seaweed I was very impressed with how hard they worked to clear it The snorkelling was also great with schools of fish star fish squid and more Definitely take your snorkels nnThe water sports are extremely
