choosing Estrella del Sur in San Pedro All agencies offer pretty much the same tours following more or less the same routes some still offer what seems to be known as the ‘traditional’ route most now offer the ‘new’ route nnWe chose Estrella del Sur in San Pedro for 3 main reasons a good and honest discussion at the agency with its 2 representatives regarding the route we would follow the hostels we would stay in during the 2 nights the driversguides a reasonable price not the cheapest but not the most expensive either the good reviews we had read on TripAdvisor nnEach one of the three days proved to be an absolute pleasure nn1 Primarily thanks to our driver guide Crispin who was terrific always driving very safely on roads paths which at times are not easy to navigate always providing good explanations in Spanish about the different sites we visited always giving us enough time to enjoy these sites always contributing to the good vibes within our group of 6 travellers with his good spirits and sense of humour nnDrivers are key to a successful and enjoyable trip We have met quite a few people who shared with us horrific experiences with their drivers driving too fast even worse driving under the influence of alcohol and putting their passengers’ life at risk not giving time for the group to enjoy the beautiful scenery Estrella del Sur has many drivers but it seems like most if not all are pretty good professionals see the many names mentioned by past travellers Hopefully this will remain true in the futurenn2 Thanks to our group of 6 travellers Kiwis Brits and French so many laughs so much fun Hopefully we will stay in touchnn3 And of course the amazing nature landscapes and fauna that we were exposed to during each one of the 3 days with Uyuni being the ultimate
