We love the Swingin Door Exchange! We have passed it for years and haven't stopped in (shame on us) and decided we wanted something close to home where we could walk.  Swinging Door is a 2-minute​ walk from the Public Market.  When you walk in, as another Yelper explained it is a little confusing if you wait to be seated or seat yourself.  Fortunately,​ on our first visit,​ the server was right there and explained that they will seat you.The restaurant/bar is nice and cozy with dark woods and stained glass.  There are a few tables outside to enjoy the vibrancy of Milwaukee on nice days.I love that you can order single sliders because sometimes I just want a small bite.  We have eaten their​ fish fry (delicious) burgers (outstanding) and many other menu items. Their​r menu is very diverse offering a lot of different options for different pallates.  We always drink beer there so I cannot attest to their bar drinks but they seem to have a lot of choices in that department as well.We always have the same server and she is always very friendly and knowledgable about the specials and the menu.  The atmosphere is definitely casual and pub feeling.  The Swinging Door Exchange can get very crowded, so you may have to wait awhile.  Read Less
