Please notice the main floor chandeliers and first floor elevators that have the old school dial to tell you what floor its on All the staff were friendly and helpful No hotel selfpark only valet parking located at the MLK entrance for 16night with inout privileges Starbucks on location is definite plus The hotel is in a great location right in the middle about a 20 minute walk from everything We were able to walk to the North end one day and walk the Walnut Bridge and then next day walk to the South end which seems to be growing with plenty of great restaurants good restaurants around the hotel too We stayed on a Tuesday through Saturday and had a king corner room in the Tower building It was huge clean and wonderful Bed and pillows were soft and comfortable The toiletries were William Roam which are cruelty free leaping bunny certified this is important to me and I actually purchased some online when I got home I liked them that much You get shampoo conditioner body lotion body soap bar and hand soap bar Plus they had a black makeup remover cloth with makeup remover stitched on it Ive never seen this before only white cloths with a note saying use it for makeup removing I love this as I use them for cleaning my makeup brushes between uses Hair dryer was the standard hotel dryer so bring yours if you need a strong one My complaints are minor Air conditioner blew right on the bed so while sleeping Id go from hot to cold I prefer a more powerful shower head housekeeping wasnt on the ball when it came to refreshing the toiletries we had to ask on the 3rd day when we were clearly running out of shampoo and I noticed a vanity kit on their cart and we never got onedont they have a checklist when they clean a room Yes we tipped everyday and desk staff needs to be more aware of locations of the rooms We asked for a room away from elevators and ice machines and our first room was literally right next to an ice machine We were able to switch quickly with no problem whatsoever but the front desk should know where possible problematic rooms are located and the Tower section only has 2 floors with ice machines its not that difficult to know where they are This isnt Read House specific it happens at a lot of hotels and I dont think away from elevators and ice machines is an uncommon request so it always surprises
