I called Sahara Air Conditioning last week to diagnose one of the 4 units I have at my fourplex. They went out there, called me, told me that the high pressure switch was not working. He explained in detail what was the switch and what was for. The part was under warranty but the labor will be $620. He clarify that he can make the AC work for now but that it was very important that I change it as soon as I can. I appreciated his honesty and his thorough explanation. For those reasons I decided to call the company again the week later. A technician went to my property and around 3:30pm my tenant called me and told me that the AC was not fixed. When I called the company they told me that the technician went there and that he tried to call me but couldn't reach me. I had to inquire to what was the problem and the attendant told that is a "failed motor" and that it will cost me $275 to fix it. Is that what it cost to have the AC running, no problem, but I like to understand what are the specifications of services rendered, definitions, how this motors works, etc. I asked the attendant to please have the technician call me, instead she transferred me to the manager, Dan. When I ask him to please explain to me he told me that there was nothing to explain and that, by the way, quote: "it seems like you rejected a previous service" to what I responded: Yes, if I could go around for now, I will, but it was in my to do list. Dan responded, quote: "are you trying to be cheap"? It seems that me asking to be explained a service that I am paying for was interpreted like me not want it to pay because I was postponing a service. Not only that, as a female I had cross with many repair persons that refuse to explain to me what the repair is about. His tone was very sexist as he insist that there was nothing to understand. I gave up, after all my tenant need the AC. So I put the order and they were going to go the day after to install the new motor. 10 minutes after I received a call where the attendant told me that the part was not in Las Vegas and that they will have to order it. It was Wednesday so it will arrive, maybe Monday or I could pay an extra $150 to overnight it, but still was not going to get in until Friday. Hhhhmmmm, right there it sounded fishy. I thought that I would do my due diligences to see if I can find the part in Las Vegas. I called back to ask for the info for the part and the manager told me that I should take my business somewhere else. I asked him why this decision and he said that since I wanted to get the part myself and have somebody else install it (something he assumed), then he was not going to be responsible. The reality is that that was not the case. I just had my doubts about the $150 overnight that they were trying to charge me. And I was right. Same day I had another technician from a different licensed company going to my property, they called me, explained what was the situation, what part they needed, I called the Goodman distribution center and they had the part at the Henderson warehouse. 1 day after the motor was changed by a licensed company. Matt was not only unprofessional, he lacks integrity. I am definitely reporting Sahara Air Conditioning to the (BBB) Best Business Bureau. 8/5/16 Still waiting for the refund. Sellar sales on Yelp? 4 stars out of 5 from only 11 reviews? I do not consider that reliable, specially considering that you guys had been in business for 38 years. 8/8/16 Still waiting for the refund. Read Less
