This place has a very mom and pop * to it. This is on haight street. Truly tragic loss for the area. This place never disappoints!

The cashier/order-taker/hostess is the cousin of the chief taco chef. In a city littered with taquerias, this one is a total standout. Best mexican in haight area.
The menu still says zona rosa. A quesadilla with spicy beef and avacado, sour cream. They also give you chips and salsa at no extra charge.
Cons
This is the worst burrito i've ever had. Not high quality ingredients.

Cant imagine seeing anything else on this corner and if its true that its somehow turning into a subway this sacrilege would only be surpassed in its absurdity by the that illadvised gap store they once put up at the precise corner of haight and ashbury
