I had a really bad experience here. I wanted to try something new and sent some information about what I wanted to their email address, asking it to be forwarded to the person I was going to have a consultation with. I was told that it was forwarded to her, but she never read any of the information. I wanted basically a mix of brown and blonde hair, but I ended up with dark red hair. On top of that, the woman doing my hair was running around doing at least 3 different women's hair at once, while doing mine, and not paying enough attention to me. Also, the drying machine broke and started burning while I was using it, and the woman decided just to wash my hair out rather than finish drying the highlights in, which I think was because she was just way too busy doing too many things at once, and I heard her having to push back another appointment until later. In the end, most of my highlights didn't come out. So, a couple hundred dollars later, I have hair that's not even close to what I wanted. I could have been more forceful about what I wanted, but even so I'd never go back to a place where the machine break while using them, where the person doing my hair has NO time to spend on it, where I make a consultation and the person doesn't look at any of the information I sent for it, etc. I'm having to go somewhere else now to get my hair fixed.  Read Less

Laboratory fit me in for a last-minute request for a blowout when I was in the area for an event.  I first phoned another, closer, salon who was booked-up and they suggested that I try Laboratory.  When I phoned, they were kind and welcoming to my rather late-request.  When I arrived, they were just as friendly and their service was great.  I had a great blowout from Stefania who made my hair (that needs a haircut bad!) look great.If I am ever back in the area, I would go back; and if you're in the area - check this place out, it's a gem!  Read Less
