Called for an estimate for some electrical work and central air install. Would not offer any price over the phone, and made me setup an appointment for a consultant to come out. Had a gentleman from their electrician team come out, his work order was completely wrong from the information given when I setup appointment. The consultant was very nice and informative, allowed me to explain what I was asking for correctly and we moved on from there. All of their pricing seemed very inflated. Fortunately, He found that work I thought was needed, wasn't necessary. We'd be good to go for AC when time came up. Decided to have a AC specialist come down that afternoon. This worked out as I don't have many weekdays off and they only have consultants available M-F 10-4. AC guy was very nice and again very informative. Really, my only issue with these guys again is PRICE! Quoted me a huge price for AC, Coil, Thermostat, and all hookups. Then said they were taking off 10% if I did there preferred club and another 5%, because I'm a nice guy. Finally they waved all install costs as it's "off season" and price still seemed very high. I took his quote and decided to think about it. The next day I called a competitor in town recommend by a family member. When I called they answered in moments and I got a very kind receptionist on the phone who offered me the cell number of a sales consultant in my area. Called the consultant, explained what all I needed and she was willing to give me a ballpark right then and there, which was far below ESCO. To get a firm quote she needed to come out and take measurements, which makes total sense. I mentioned I had no weekdays off for awhile, she said she was out of town this weekend, but could come in before I worked. I explained that'd be like 7am. She was all cool with that and came out the next morning right on time. Measured to find the units previously quoted were sufficient, and came in a few hundred below even the ballpark mentioned the night before. Offered me a more energy efficient unit for more than $1000 less than ESCO on the cheapest option available. Needless to say I've gone with these guys over ESCO. Lesson learned, GET A SECOND OPINION. ESCO Summary:Pros: They were very informative, honest about work needed and was able to work with my limited window for getting consultants out for price quotes. Cons: Unwilling to even give ballpark over the phone. Limited hours to get people out to get you a price. Then finally getting that price even with all the "discounts" and "promotions" they are far over priced compared to their competition. Read Less
