speaks English very well and his father picked us up from the hotel in central Madrid and drove us to the ranch about 45 minutes away As the view began to change from urban to rural and buildings were replaced by sprawling hills and vast green countryside landscape the urban doubters within the group began to show signs of increased FOMO That all changed when the gates to the ranch finally opened nnWe were greeted by the ranchkeeper and a group of bull fighters whom we later learned were Hectors teammates All super friendly and accommodating Upon settling in at the ranch house sangria was served to us all as we were given a general overview of the bulls and their nature raising them the breeding process the ranch and its history The architecture alone along with the photos on the walls and the outdoor views completely transform your state of mindnnAs we took our seats on an opentotheelements wheeled platform hauled by a tractor we began to ride around the ranch and experience first hand all of its elements from up closenn20 minutes into our ride and we disembark the platform to get to the main event A complex set of walls and gates which lead into a center core the bullring nnAs spectators around the ring perimeter a heavy door opened and a raging bull rushed into the ring which was already occupied by Hector and his teammates In what seemed to be effortless acrobatic techniques this was bullfighting demo at its best We soon joined the party and became matadors ourselves with coaching and supervision by Hector and team Truly thrilling breathtaking and unforgettable The rush that you get standing exposed in the middle of the ring while a bull charges towards you inches away and for our friend Etika even less than that cannot be put into words Hector and his teammates were amazing at engaging with us coordinating and making sure the experience ran smoothly and safelynnWe concluded with an authentic Spanish BBQ paired with wine served in the ranch house We
