This is my first Yelp review. Unbelievable service by Jerry. I have been to multiple high end fitters for my equipment and he was by far the best. Not only does he know everything you need to know about fitting he went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered and make sure my order was taken care of from start to finish. Last year I took them up on a special offer for a full bag fitting through the SCGA.  The fitting experience itself was pretty cool.  They have a ton of different options to try out.We started by finding the right driver shaft and then moved onto the head (I ended up getting fitted for a Ping LS Tech with an Oban shaft).After that we moved on to the irons and wedges repeating the process.  The putter fitting, however, felt like a bit of an after thought.My problem came down to the end of the process where my fitter handed me an invoice for ordering the clubs that they had recommended.  It totaled out to around $3,500.00.  I realize golf is an expensive game but this was a bit ridiculous in my opinion.  They wanted close to $1,500 for the iron set that they recommended to me (Srixon 545s with Project-X Shafts).  I could order that directly from Srixon for less than half that amount. Their reasoning for this charge is something called "Shaft pureing" which in my opinion sounded like a bunch of horse crap.As a fitter I would say that this place is great but you would be a fool to actually buy your clubs from these guys when you could just as easily order directly from the manufacturer for a fraction of the cost.  Read Less

I debated for a while about when to get a club fitting. Knowing some fellow golfers who have gone through the fitting process, and hearing their positive feedback only made my interest stronger.  I live in Pasadena, and I drove to Santa Monica for the expert club fitting at Club Champion. The technology used to register your data is that same that the tour pros use (trackman).  The feedback you get from the trackman doesn't lie.  And the fitters (Jerry and Matt) immediately know which direction they want to go in with your swing. Starting off with the 6 iron in your bag, they will then get you swing different shaft and head combinations until your results improve to pure and solid contact. The best thing about the fitting process is that they are not brand loyal. So you can end up with a mutt of a set in your bag, but in the end, Club Champion will get you the best combination for your game. I also HIGHLY recommend getting the putter fitted.  Their SAM machine is pretty awesome, as it shows EVERYTHING about your putting stroke. WARNING: If you own a Scotty Cameron Custom, the guys will not be able to adjust your angle as the custom shafts do not bend!  I needed a slight 1 degree adjustment and I was able to have it done to my off the rack Scotty, but not the custom. And finally, financials. Its not cheap, but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR PEOPLE.  You don't go to a Bentley dealer and ask for the used Pinto!  UPDATE: 10 days later, my clubs are back. Went to the range and HOLY SMOKES, this stuff works. I haven't hit the sweet spot as many times as I did today. What a feeling!  THANK YOU MATT AND JERRY!  Read Less
