I normally go here to see my Psychologist Pat who is wonderful and extremely patient in helping me deal with my emotions and personal problems at home and with outsiders. By her recommendation, I made an appointment to see Dr. Ali for Psychiatry but unfortunately I missed my first appointment with that a-hole because it was the same day my food stamp money was released and needed to go buy groceries for me and my family. I have complained about this coming too late in the month and I always have to borrow or use my GA money to pay for any food. So I missed my appointment and called to see if I could reschedule but Catholic Charities did not have anything sooner than 3 weeks so I waited and when I went to my 2nd appointment yesterday morning, I arrived early and waited patiently after the receptionist Nancy said she would let him know I was here. He was sitting in the office I was facing directly. Had I known that was him, I would have told him to not leave because I was there for my appointment early and on time. But he left and didn't come back for probably over 30 minutes because when he came back, he went straight to his office with what seemed to be a full bag of groceries. Whatever it was, it didn't justify the fact that he left my appointment without even talking to me first and made me wait thinking it was acceptable to leave a patient hanging like that. So I sat there and was getting more and more upset because he left and didn't even have the courtesy to say hi and introduce himself or say he needed to step out. If he had been honest about it, I would have been more tolerant and understanding but he wasn't. He must have thought he was so above me to not be professional about it. So his smug self turned around at the receptionist desk when I called him out and said he was an a-hole because he was clearly acting like one. I stopped wanting to see him when I realized this loser was doing whatever he was doing to waste my time and get payback for me accidentally missing my appointment the first time. We both started yelling at each other but I told him he had no right to speak to me and I did not want to see him. I have standards and as high as they can be sometimes, I am also a very reasonable person. The only people there who stood by me were Karla, another Psych.? counselor and my Psychologist Pat. The security guy Dane? was even understanding and sympathetic of the situation. But Nancy the receptionist wasn't as honest and responsible as I used to think. The lady in the second office, I assume everyone's boss, named Monica acted equally irresponsible because she defended the ditcher Dr. Ali and didn't even bother to hear the truth about it. Anyways, I had no idea things were this bad with this Catholic Charities. I thought they were above this but apparently not. I am sorry to Pat and Karla and Dane if that's his name, but for everyone else...good riddance. Read Less
