We liased with Julia, the Guest Relations Manager, to finalise our booking, who was extremely patient. As we had a family of 8, consisting of our young twin boys and grandparents, we called ahead a few times to check on accessibility requirements. Diago was also very helpful and patient.\n\nFrom the time we parked outside the hotel, the concierge team, approached the car to collect all of our luggage and our keys to park the vehicle, for us. \n\nOn arrival in the lobby, we met the reception staff and Chris the Duty Mgr, who we knew from the Exec Lounge on previous stays. Although extremely busy, Chris wasted no time, going the extra mile and a half, to re-explore the best possible accessible room for my mother, following up, to ensure that it was just right.\n\nAll of our rooms were perfect, clean, spotless, spacious, with very comfortable beds. We all enjoyed a really good sleep, even our restless twin boys.\n\nWe used the executive lounge quite a bit.The Executive Lounge team, were so nice, particularly Alixia and Bogumil, who offered such a high level of customer service, making our entire family feel relaxed, welcomed and at home. After each visit, we wanted for nothing, except the gym and swimming pool for a guilty workout.\n\nBreakfast was served in the main resturant.  Given our family of eight, Lucia, the resturant manager (da italia), went out of her way to provide a special large table to accomodate us, which overlooked the opulent Palm Court. The breakfast range was extensive, catering for all our varying dietary requirements and the service from Lucia and Alex was exemplary.\n\nWhilst we were aware in advance, that some scaffolding would be present, at the entrance, it was so tastefully decorated, you wouldn't even think about it. \n\nOn departure, Helena at front desk and the fabulous concierge team particularly, the polish gentleman featured in the photo, who was extremely helpful with my mother throughout, ensured that our vehicle was at the entrance at the time stated, packed with all of our luggage. \n\nGrazie mille Julia, Thank you Chris and all the Waldorf Hilton London staff, for making our family weekend such a memorable one. \n\nWe are already searching our diaries, for our next London stay, as we plan to see Tina Turner at the theatre next door. Concierge and reception staff were friendly and reacted well when our first room toilet smelt like it had been cleaned with a dirty mop. If you are traveling at the weekend, be aware that the pool closes at 1800hrs sharp and is sub contracted out from the hotel with its own staff who were unwelcoming on two occasions. Only positive was the great breakfast, the location and quite room.\n\nNot so good:\nToilet didn't work 3 times, 2 times I fixed it myself, once I called house keeping. According to the colour of the carpet in front of the bathroom, it wasn't the first time that the toilet had an issue. I guess. \nAlso the TV control was missing, after calling house keeping I got it. As a HH Gold member I had to ask for the benefits, an upgrade was not given, though, hotel wasn't fully booked according to the reception. For almost € 400,-- the room was quite small, just a regular one. \n\nWhen I complained at the reception about the 2 issues, they mentioned nothing was recorded in the computer, not my fault. All I got was, we are sorry, and how was the breakfast\". That's not customer serivce. As a Gold member I expect much more.\n\nSo the good old time are gone for sure, there are way better choices in smaller hotels in London.
