Pros

The answer was posted by john m. Polaris 360. This enables it to back away from an obstacle and also randomize its path around the pool. Very good price for this zodiac backup valve. Zodiac. Polaris. Oem replacement part.

Worked as advertised. Works as designed. Works like a charm.

Cons

It keeps getting clogged or just not working, so the polaris just sits in one corner. Apparently it is extremely sensitive to debris.

Lasted 5 months. Locked up after 3 weeks of use. Only lasted 3 months. Lasted one yr. Already broke. Had to return.
