It is less slippery, but for me that's not an issues because i always use nonstick socks when i do my yoga and pilates at home.

The zen active non-slip yoga mat is ridiculously slippery. It feels like there's a oil residue left on the mat both my hands and feet are slipping. The material gives in to my weight too easily and is insufficient cushion for my knees.

Peeling-falling apart after only 3 uses. Also has a strong rubbery smell. Two years with very infrequent use, the mat continues to shed. Chemical smell was nausea inducing during practice.
