Pros
The hss works brilliantly outside allowing me to shoot at f2. In terms of flash functionality they are every bit as good as my canon flash.
Great battery life with rechargeable nimh’s. Rivals if not surpasses other pro models priced more than double of this. Great power, even lighting pattern and solid ttl compatibility.
It's very powerful. Works great. Design is simple, and gets what i need it to do, pretty much without any hiccups.
Cons
This flash has awesome features but a waste of time n money. My flash is oct 2014 issue, so it is not about having an old stock. This one is now practically useless.
The battery compartment door is poorly designed. Looks like the teeth on one side of the battery door broke off. Do not bring manual or warranty or original box. Watch out for non-usa warranties.
Not worth the money and aggravation. Steer clear.
This model has a design flaw that makes it rubbish. If there is any drawbacks 1) horrible manual.

I’ll start with the goodlet me first say that these flashes honestly can’t be beat for the money
I am very happy with my flash
With the yongnuo at under 100 i can almost buy 5 flashes and fill my softboxes full of them
So i trigger this flash with the yongnuo yn622ctx ettl transmitter and yn622c receivers
Price
But it is a good price range and has good options
Great product at a great great price
Competitiveness
Works great with my wifes cannon t3
I have several other yongnuo flashes as they have worked great
Purchased my second of this specific yongnuo model
To me knowing what i now know this is a nobrainer

The hispeed sync function works flawlessly 95 of the time with an occasional shutter line through the screen

I also purchased a set of yn622c wireless radio flash triggers and a yn622c wireless radio flash controller

I won’t review those components here but suffice to say they allow me to move my yongnuo yn568ex 2c’s off my camera with full hispeed sync and ettl functionality

Also the battery life is fantastic with rechargeable nimh’s and the cycle time is less than 1 second at ¼ power

So for just about thirteen hundred dollars i got a mobile lighting setup that allows me to use all my cameras canon 5d mark 3 flash functionality on and off camera and all controllable from the yn22 flash controller
