Pros

Quality is exceptional and the functionality is equally impressive. How long it lasts i haven't a clue but it is a bargain if it lasts a year. Much more inexpensive than the canon ring flash!

Thankfully this flash supports that ev compensation setting. Works perfectly and is easy to adjust.

The twin flash has very bright modeling lamps that allow me to see anything at the 5x magnification. The auto focus assist lamp is a great feature! It does a fantastic job of macro lighting and i'm very happy with the purchase.

The yongnuo yn-14ex is a great alternative for 1/5 the price. The crop sensor (1. Megapixels) makes it a great starting point for anyone beginning macro photography. As an amateur photographer, i find that it's fantastic.

Cons

Second unit, the battery door breaks. The battery door latch is small and made of cheap plastic that cracks. Only way to keep the batteries properly seated inside the unit is to tightly tape and rubber band the door shut.

I hope that this flash performs adequately but so far not off to a good start. Build quality is inferior.
