I had to hunt the directions down on their web site because they were not in the box

The housing for the drive is all plastic and without taking apart the enclosure there appears to be minimal metal framing to hold the drive and circuit board

Still i greatly prefer all metal housings for heat dissipation but if you arent constantly using the drive plastic is probably fine

I am not sure why companies label their drives in terabyte increments since they never quite get the full terabyte
