I also have an old spellbinder die cutter i hated that thing like you have no idea used it a couple of times called customer service to see what was wrong with it and then ultimately threw it in the garbage i also have a cuttlebug and an old accucut professional die cutter so this is not my first machine

It takes practice to flip the cutting mat once you have placed the dies on your paper to have the cutting side facing upwards since unlike the plates used in other machines this plate is not transparent
