I chose to hook an auxiliary cable to the headphone jack on my tv and then to the auxiliary port on the soundbar because my soundbar actually sits behind my tv and by doing it this way im still able to use my tv remote to control the volume
My tv is in a tight fitted spot so the regular auxiliary cable that i had been using was being bent and you was able to see the cable when looking at the tv from the front so the 90 degree angle on this cable prevented that
