Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the best suburban noir/mystery/drama book i have read in many years. It is a wonderful story that keeps the reader engaged. I listen to books on my commute and it is such a treat to listen to the wonderful narrator.
Liane moriarty always creates suspense and a slow unfolding of circumstances for the reader. Moriarty is a genius at creating wonderful, relatable characters.
Cons
These characters are more insipid than flawed. No redeeming qualities and no answers for any of these people's motivations.
Not much happens for most of the book. It’s slow and gives absurd amounts of information about the day of the event, then skips back to present day. This is the hardest book for me to get interested in to continuing reading.
This is my least favorite liane moriarty book. It is hard to believe a publisher would put out a book by a first rate author like this one. It makes me skeptical to read more of her books.
Highlights
Shipping
I found it to be fast paced and i really enjoyed that
Competitiveness
I wanted something quicker like ripping a bandaid but that wouldn’t be erika
